Bazar bargains

If you're interested in shopping, Izmir might just be the place for you. The city appears to be one huge commercial centre, with literally hundreds of bridal shops, furniture outlets, clothes shops, the ever present fake designer bags/clothes stalls and of course the traditional bazaar . The latter is a great place to stock up on spices, eat tons of delicoius baklava, have turkish coffee in one of the many coffee shops, and buy beautiful souvenirs. I was particularly taken with one tiny leather handcraft shop where the shop owner was making handbags, purses and all kinds of other nick nacks while I watched.
